Terms andconditions.
What we commit to do, what we entrust to a partner, how the amount is stated to you before we start, and what happens if something goes wrong.

Who you are dealing with
OGGO, Rue Jean-Gutenberg 3bis, 1201 Geneva, UID CHE-115.331.185, operates the Mac SOS brand. These terms apply to any work, sale or service carried out under that name, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
They are aimed first at private individuals, at home, in Geneva and the canton. Businesses are looked after by OGGO, under separate terms.
What we do — and what we do not do ourselves
We work on your Apple devices: setup, troubleshooting, backups, network, training, advice and hardware sales. At your home, in our workshop, or remotely.
Hardware repair is entrusted to an approved partner, Mac Repair. We organise the handover, we follow the file and we put everything back in place afterwards — but the repair itself, the warranty on the part and the lead time are the partner's, and they confirm them to you in writing before any work starts.
Appointments, travel and cancellation
Appointments are set by phone or online. We call you before coming to confirm the address and what you are seeing.
If you need to cancel or move it, tell us by the day before at the latest. An appointment cancelled at the last minute, or a door that stays shut at the agreed time, may be invoiced as a call-out.
If we are the ones who have to move it, we tell you as soon as we know and we offer you the next slot first.
What it costs, and when you find out
We do not publish rates. Every situation is different: an hour at your home, a remote session and a full rebuild take neither the same time nor the same work. A price printed on a page would be true for nobody.
What we guarantee instead, and it is a commitment of these terms:
- The amount is stated to you before we start, by phone or in writing.
- If the work goes beyond what was expected, we stop and talk to you before carrying on.
- For any substantial job, you get a written estimate before we commit to anything.
- You never discover an amount on the invoice.
One call to 022 830 00 30 is enough to know where you stand. Invoices are payable on receipt, unless stated otherwise. VAT included where applicable.
Your data during the work
Working on your device means having access to it. We only open what the problem requires, you type your passwords yourself, and anything we may glimpse stays confidential with no time limit. The detail is in our privacy policy.
Backups and lost data
This is the point we would rather make beforehand than afterwards. Any work on a device carries a risk, small but real, to the data it holds — especially when the disk or the system is already in trouble.
- We recommend an up-to-date backup before any work, and we can make one with you.
- Where the state of the device makes the risk significant, we say so and we wait for your agreement.
- We cannot guarantee the recovery of data already lost, damaged or erased before we arrived.
Remote support
It goes through TeamViewer, requires your agreement for each session, happens in front of you and stops the moment you close the window. It is reserved for Mac SOS clients.
New hardware sales
New hardware is covered by the manufacturer's warranty, whose length and scope are stated to you at purchase. We help you with any warranty claim, but we do not stand in for the manufacturer.
Second-hand hardware
Every listing states the exact condition of the machine and what is guaranteed. That is confirmed to you in writing before purchase, machine by machine. Every device taken in trade is securely erased before going back on sale.
Warranty. Second-hand hardware is covered for 3 months from the invoice date. The warranty covers hardware failures we confirm ourselves. It does not cover damage from impact, liquid or improper use, nor normal battery wear. If a covered failure occurs, we repair, replace or refund, at no cost to you, at our discretion. Your statutory rights remain reserved.
Our liability
We put every possible care into our work. We are liable for our own fault, within the limits Swiss law provides. We are not liable for indirect damage, for the consequences of a defect already present on the device before we arrived, or for choices you made against our explicit advice.
If something is wrong
Tell us. One address: hello@mac-sos.ch, or 022 830 00 30. Report the problem within the days that follow the work: beyond that, it becomes hard to tell what came from us.
Changes
These terms may change. The version that applies is the one online on the day of your order or appointment. The last-updated date appears at the top of the page.
Governing law
Swiss law applies. The place of jurisdiction is Geneva.
